Preservation of Open Space

This morning, Mayor Dave Tinker, Committeeman James Brady, Committeeman Scott Aagre and Freeholder Serena DiMaso joined members of the Hazlet Environmental Commission and the Open Space Advisory Board to announce that the Township is permanently protecting as open space nearly 12 acres of land off of Scott Drive, along the Waackaack Creek.  The property contains significant wetlands, which will now be preserved as open space in perpetuity. 

 

 
 
 
 

 

Township Committee of Hazlet Township Workshop Meeting Cancelled

Please take notice that the Township Committee of Hazlet Township has cancelled their Workshop Meeting scheduled for October 23, 2012 at 7 p.m.  The next scheduled Workshop/Regular meeting is on November 5, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. respectively.
 

Volunteer EMS uses Billboard to Promote Membership

After 66 years of serving the Township and trying to constantly recruit new volunteers, the Hazlet Township First Aid and Rescue Squad is trying something new...a billboard. Located on State Highway 35 and Hazlet Ave. in Hazlet Township, Monmouth County NJ, the Squad has contracted to post a billboard for membership purposes which reads "What if...an ambulance is needed and no one responds? VOLUNTEER TODAY!"
