Deputy Mayor Michael Sachs
As a life long resident of Hazlet and West Keansburg, Deputy Mayor Michael Sachs is devoted to serving his community. Currently residing in Hazlet with his wife and two children, Sachs balances his time between home and his community by continuously serving the people within his Township. Owning a small business based out of Hazlet, Sachs himself can relate to other business owners within the town. While this makes him an active member of his community, his efforts do not stop there.
In past years, Sachs served as Deputy Mayor in 2004 and 2005, and as mayor in 2000 and 2006. His experience and constant aims to make his community the best it can possibly be can be seen through all of his endeavors, including his hard work to help create the new Town Hall. As a former member of the Hazlet Zoning Board, and as former chairman of the Monmouth County Bayshore Outfall Authority, the Hazlet Planning Board, and the Hazlet Township Republican Committee, Sachs knows what it takes to make Hazlet the best it can possibly be.
Outside of Hazlet, Sachs also serves as a liaison to the Environmental Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment, which helps him gain outside knowledge that can be used to help his community. His efforts have been able to further the Township and he aims to continue these efforts in future endeavors.
