- CONGRATULATIONS
On Sunday, September 11th 2005, Hazlet residents
Joseph Pobega and Annie Eng received the "Art Weimer
Memorial Award for Achievements in Grassroots Environmentalism"
at the 9th annual NY/NJ Baykeepers Clambake held on Sandy
Hook. Joe and Annie are working with environmental groups
to preserve the Waackaack Creek corridor in North/East Hazlet.
Congratulations to both Joe and Annie.

to encourage motorists to observe the residential speed
limit. In most towns and cities across the U.S., the residential
limit is 25 mph. Thus the slogan, “KEEP KIDS ALIVE

The Memorial Committee is selling brick
pavers that can be engraved.

The 9-11 Memorial Monument was dedicated on September 14,
2003:
- HAZLET TOWNSHIP'S RAILROAD STATION IS COMPLETED!
The $6.1 million renovation paid for by New Jersey Transit
includes expanded parking, heated glass enclosures, new
lighting, handicapped accessibility and mosaic murals depicting
scenes of the Bayshore's history.
