Latest update from JCP&L...originally 8,544 Hazlet customers were without power. 1,621 have been restored...6,923 remain without power.
 

Emergency Operations Center Shutting Down for Night

We are in the process of shutting down our Emergency Operations Center for the night. There may be limited updates throughout the night. The Center will be staffed again starting Friday morning. Thank you for your outpouring of support. Good night and stay safe.

Colby Lane Tree Issue

We are aware of the tree down in the roadway on Colby Lane. Since the tree is entangled in power lines it can not be addressed until JCP&L arrives at the scene.

We have an immediate need for the following items:
-Baby items including diapers and formula
-Children's Clothing
-Socks and Shoes...all sizes
-Spare Blankets

These items can be dropped off at any of our collection centers. This is an urgent situation and these items are needed before nightfall if possible. These items are for families from Union Beach/Keyport who have lost everything. Items can be dropped off at Maranatha Baptist Church, St. Benedict's, St. Joseph's, St. Clement's and St. Mary's. Thank you!

Mayor Tinker, Committeeman Brady, Administrator Valentino and OEM Coordinator Horner just got off a conference call with President Obama and Governor Christie. The President wants people to know to call 800-621-FEMA to register their needs and problems right away. Help can also be received from http://www.disasterassistance.gov/.

The truck that delivered ice to Holy Family is now empty. We asked for a second delivery of ice this morning and are hopeful to receive more. None has been promised at this time.

Anyone needing to fax documents to their insurance company can report to the Police Department Records Bureau and there will be someone there to assist you. This service is for faxing to insurance companies only and no phone calls will be allowed.

We are looking for 1 volunteer to assist residents in submitting insurance information. Basically looking for someone to man a fax machine at police headquarters. If interested contact us at hazletnotify@gmail.com

Cash/food gift cards/clothing are being accepted by: Maranatha Baptist Church on Holmdel Rd. at Brailley Lane (enter via Brailley Lane); St. Benedict's on Bethany Rd. (drop off at the food pantry); St. Joseph's in Keyport and St. Clement's in Matawan (drop off at the rectory)
As we confirm other locations we will update here.

Non perishable food will also be accepted.

St. Mary's in Middletown will also accept donations at the parish office.
