Clean Communities - Sea Change

Hazlet Clean Communities endeavors to educate the public about the state council's anti-littering message on the township website, electronic message board, in the newsletter and Hazlet Day. 

Students are a focus. On October 25, 2022, Clean Ocean Action visited Sycamore Drive School to read the "Sea Change" Book to Kindergarteners and spark a discussion about what happens to trash in the ocean.

Businesses are encouraged to learn about the nuances of the May 2022 ban on plastic bags and polystyrene foam food service products on the state website, Business.NJ.Gov.
