Notice of Work BRSA - 2

Hazlet Township is sharing the following 2nd Notice of Work from the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority (BRSA)

Dear Resident:

In the next few weeks, the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority (BRSA) will be replacing a sanitary sewer pipeline in your neighborhood. The work will take place in an easement area off of Briscoe Terrace and the Beers Street School ballfield in Hazlet Township, NJ and is being done proactively to replace a pipeline that is nearing the end of its life expectancy. The new pipeline should provide over 50 years of uninterrupted service to the residents of Hazlet.

In an effort to minimize impacts to the community, the Contractor will be utilizing a horizontal directional drill to perform this essential work. Sound barriers will be placed around all work areas on each side of the drilling activities and Hazlet Police may assist the Contractor in the delivery of drilling equipment.

The work is expected to begin on or around November 27, 2023 and will take place during the hours of 7 AM and 5PM, 6 days a week, for up to two months. Specific drilling activities may extend for longer hours. Please refrain from parking vehicles on Briscoe Terrace, if possible, during the week of November 27, to allow our Contractor to mobilize the drilling equipment. Once drilling is complete, additional site work will take place during the Spring of 2024 to complete the project.

The Contractor's site superintendent and BRSA's Consulting Engineer will be on-site at all times. The Contractor for this project is Dulaine Contracting, Inc. of Gladstone, NJ. The Engineer for this project is PS&S of Wall, NJ. Additional information can be found on the BRSA website www.bayshorersa.com, or the Township of Hazlet website www.hazlettwp.org.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at the above number.
